Environmental Awareness Club Gets New Leaders

Chiromo Environmental Awareness Club (CEAC) has appointed new officials who will be in office from November 2019 - November 2020. The former chairman, Mr. Wilfred Chemoiwo Kiptoo officially handed over to Ms. Wangari Kigundu who now holds the Chairperson's office. 

All Student Leaders of Chiromo Campus Converge to Discuss Ways of Publicizing Student Events

Chiromo Campus has student organization with diverse membership of students drawn from different departments and Schools within the campus. Additionally, each organization has a structured team in office, complete with Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Organizing Secretary, Secretary-General, Head of Publicity, Student representatives among other officials.

The students engage with stakeholders from different industries and student members in organizing various activities, with leadership of Assistant Dean of Students, Ms. Lucy Jiomba.

Meteorology Students Engage in Globe Cinema Clean-Up

Globe Cinema, Nairobi county was the focus for University of Nairobi Meteorological students who engaged in a cleaning activity November 30, 2019.

With key stakeholder from Kenya Meteorological Society (KMS) and County Government of Nairobi, the students received donations of t-shirts, a banner as well as wheelbarrows and spades used for the clean-up activity.

Space Science Public Lecture by Hon. Wilber Ottichilo, Governor Vihiga County

Technologies can be applied in satellite communication where data is transmitted through internet connectivity, this enables us to communicate globally. Currently there are many satellites taking images which are being used to monitor information from the surface of the earth. Hon. Wilber Ottichllo, Governor Vihiga County, and an alumnus University of Nairobi discussed this during a public lecture on Space Science at the University of Nairobi, College of Biological and Physical Sciences.
