 2021 Tree Planting Exercise at FST

The University has partnered with Kenya Forest Service and Equity Group to plant over 5000 seedlings across all campuses. The faculty planted 400 seedlings with the help from staff and students

During the exercise, Equity representative, Westland’s branch urged the members present to strive to conserve trees as they help in beautification, provide humans with oxygen and they also boost wildlife by providing shelter and food to the animals. Chiromo campuses is home to many monkeys because of the trees surrounding the campus.

 

2. Tree planting Exercise by UNSA

A Tree planting event organized by University of Nairobi Students Association (UNSA) took place on December 5th 2019. the students Chiromo Weather Station to undertake this noble exercise.

2. Makadara Police Station Enviromental Cleanup Exercise

The Chiromo Campus Peer Educators (CCPE), as part of giving back to the community and conserving the enviroment, participated in community cleaning  service at Makadara Police Station. The activity took place on 3rd April 2019. The bus left the college premises at 10am and arrived at MAKADARA police station at 10:50am.The activity began shortly after eleven. The activities the group engaged in were mostly garbage collection. CCPE is registered peer mentoring club within the Faculty of Science & Technology tasked with the responsibility of promoting and ensuring wealthy and healthy growth of the students in the entire college through positive relationship with the students and other people who may be described as of need of their attention
